The contract demanded highly precise, industrial-grade floor treatment and joint rehabilitation across concrete pavements to withstand the rigorous load demands of airport operations
Technical Execution & Scope
The project was executed by deploying advanced polymer-modified systems engineered specifically for high-stress aviation pavements.
Key Technical Phases Included:
Substrate & Surface Preparation: Executed deep mechanical and manual surface cleaning. The process involved the total removal of loose debris, dust, and contaminants to achieve an optimal profile for high-bond epoxy adhesion.
Joint Rehabilitation & Edge Repair: Specialized in repairing and stabilizing structural vulnerabilities, including:
Expansion joints
Construction joints
Dummy joints in concrete pavements
Premium Material Applications: * Implemented structural repairs utilizing high-strength Shalibond 41 epoxy adhesive (or approved ASTM C 881, Type-1 Grade-3 compliant equivalent).
Reconstructed degraded joint edges using premium Salifix EM-51 Epoxy Mortar, fully conforming to international ASTM C 395-01 industrial engineering standards.
Quality Assurance & Oversight
Operational Standards: All repair formulations and application methodologies were rigorously tested and executed to the total direction and satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge (EIC) on-site.
Industrial Durability: The specialized epoxy screeding and structural mortars used were explicitly selected to handle the extreme compression, thermal expansion, and shearing forces typical of active airport pavements.
